Fe-Noon
represents an umbrella which encompasses primarily Ahmed Moustafa's
studio workspace. Inside
its high, white-washed walls, the Fe-Noon studio also houses the
gallery and exhibition space for the artist's numerous works.
One
philosophy, multiple operations
Within these confines can be found the multi-disciplined
team - under the direct tutelage of Ahmed - engaged in pioneering
and inexhaustible research. Invariably the same team is involved
in the design implementation and publishing of such material.
Fe-Noon
is at once an artist's studio and scholar's study. In fact, its
official moniker is Fe-Noon Ahmed Moustafa The
Research Centre for Arab Art and Design, and not without reason:
initially trained as a figurative artist in the neoclassical European
tradition, he subsequently rediscovered his Islamic roots and is
now a leading authority on Arabic art and design.
